Tang Sancai surpasses Ru Kiln in transaction! Sotheby's Okada Museum in Hong Kong Special Sale Price (High Ancient Part)

2025-11-24

Asian Art Treasures from the Okada Museum of Art Collection

Sotheby's Hong Kong November 22, 2025

Sotheby's Hong Kong's “Okada Museum Collection” auction featured 22 ancient artifacts, all of which sold successfully, achieving a 100% sell-through rate and a total hammer price of HK$92,785,700. Among the highlights, an eighth-century Tang Dynasty tri-color glazed eagle-shaped bottle took the top spot, surpassing a Ru ware piece to become the auction's highest-selling lot. A Sui Dynasty white glazed parrot cup also delivered an impressive performance, with prices for this category having increased approximately tenfold over the past decade.
